2024 Waiheke Garden Festival

What you need to know

Opening Times

The Gardens will be open from 10am to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday. Entry with wristband (ticket) only.

Tickets

Tickets will be available at FULLERS 360 Matiatia, Paper Plus Waiheke, or online at fullers.co.nz from mid-August 2024.
E-tickets can be exchanged for wristbands by volunteers at any garden. You will also be able to buy tickets at each garden entrance.

Music in the gardens

Expect to enjoy some wonderful live music at select gardens. More information will be provided once tickets are on sale.

Children

Children under the age of 14 years are FREE and welcome. Please note most of the gardens are not suitable for pushchairs.

Pets

Please leave your pets at home as they are not allowed in these private gardens.

Refreshments

Refreshments will be available at several gardens and easily located on the festival map.

Parking

Although the festival is a self-drive event many of our gardens have difficult road access and Waiheke has very narrow, windy roads. Please carpool wherever possible and comply with all parking signage.

Transport

We invite you to self drive but please be aware that access to some properties can get crowded and patience is needed for parking. Biking is an option for getting around and there are several bike and car hire companies operating on the island.

Car Ferry

Car and driver packages can be purchased on the Sealink website at www.sealink.co.nz.

Bus tour

Fullers 360 will be offering a wonderful bus tour option visiting selected gardens for those not wishing to drive. More information will be available once tickets go on sales in August 2024.

Toilets

Only a few gardens have visitor toilets. Please check the map on this website or in the brochure for options.

COVID refund policy

If a situation occurs where an official government recommendation is made to postpone or cancel public gatherings, the event will be cancelled and we will be in touch to discuss ticketing options which may include refunding your ticket in full. Alternatively, you can choose not to take a refund and donate the ticket price to the Jassy Dean Trust.
