Garden 3

Carol & Rob Comer
The White House – 64 Mako Street, Oneroa

The owners of this lovely property inherited an already established garden when they moved into their new home. It boasted a variety of mature, lush, tall palms along with established olive trees, giant bird of paradise stands and large China doll trees. In the past eighteen months, they have removed pittosporum and a few hundred agave plants, added hydrangea and planted two dozen Lomandra ‘Lime Tuffs’, specimen aloe fans, orange trees and passionfruit. There are four new raised vegetable gardens and a pergola featuring cucumbers, beans and capsicums. They have shovelled trailer loads of mulch!

The latest venture is a ‘She Shed’, a place to grow veggies in the winter and raise seedlings throughout the year.
